During my intervention at RAID Tech, in the context of developing the CADA —the Cloud and AI Development Act—, I defended a fundamental idea: to be competitive in the digital and innovation world, we need to offer certainty to investors, legal security and clear rules. And, above all, to simplify regulation.
It is not enough to talk about technological leadership. Whoever decides to invest needs to know what requirements they must meet and to have a stable framework that allows them to plan ahead. Uncertainty and administrative complexity cannot become obstacles to developing projects in Europe.
That is why I believe CADA must help create an environment in which investing, building and innovating is easier. Simplifying does not mean giving up safeguards, but rather establishing rules that are understandable, coherent and enforceable.
My priority is for Europe not to limit itself to regulating the digital future, but to create the conditions to build it. Competitiveness needs ambition, but it also needs certainty.
